Corporate Social Investments
Corporate Social Investment – The Heart of AS INC
At Anne Shilengudwa Incorporated, the law is our profession, but service to humanity is our purpose. We believe that a successful firm is not defined only by the matters it oversees, but also by the impact it makes in the lives of people and the strength it contributes to communities. Our Corporate Social Investment (CSI) work is not an afterthought – it is central to who we are. We have seen that real impact is created through compassion, opportunities, and the removal of barriers.
When our Director, Mrs. Shilengudwa, introduced Senior Ladies Day, it was intended as more than an event. It was a tribute to the mothers and grandmothers who have carried families and communities through generations. On 7 December 2024, more than twenty women in Katutura were celebrated and treated to spa sessions, therapy, heartfelt conversations, and a dinner in their honour. It was a day that acknowledged resilience and affirmed dignity.

Internships & Pro Bono Legal Services
We also recognise that giving back means investing in the future. Through internships, in-house pro bono legal services, free legal advice days in Walvis Bay, and in-house training, we support young professionals in developing their skills and careers. We further create opportunities for participation in leadership programmes, conferences, and industry events, because we believe tomorrow’s leaders deserve support today.

Standard Bank Namibia Buy-a-Brick Initiative
Since 2022, we have supported the Standard Bank Namibia Buy-a-Brick Initiative, contributing to the construction of safe, affordable homes for low-income families. Each contribution helps strengthen both families and communities.

LSN 2nd Legal Women Conference
Beyond this, we have supported a range of initiatives, including the Okongo Omaludi Cultural Festival, the African Women Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum Conference in South Africa, and the 2nd Law Society of Namibia Legal Women Conference 2025. These efforts align with our commitment to community, inclusion, and progress.

Social Responsibility Excellence Award
In recognition of these efforts, AS INC was honoured with the Judge JP Karuaihe
Social Responsibility Excellence Award in both 2021 and 2023. While we are grateful for the recognition, our motivation remains the same: to give back where we can and contribute to lasting change.
At AS INC, we are committed not only to building lasting legal solutions for our
clients, but also to building stronger communities through meaningful social
investment.
